Melissa is part of the 2024 cohort for the Pacific Screenwriters - Scripted Series Lab. She was top finalist in Landed Entertainment's scripted series with her script "Cast Some Light". She currently has her story "Boys of Summer" in story development with Joy Productions in Australia and short film/POC "Salty" in pre-production.

She has written short film "Toe the Line" which appeared as the premiere film for Vancouver's Run'n'Gun Saturday session.

Former senior editor for Terroir magazine, Melissa interviewed Hollywood actors and international creatives on their craft.

Currently a freelancer for nineeightseven.ca Melissa reviews live music shows and releases, melding her two passions; music & writing, into one.

Island Home

Currently in story development, Island Home melds two distinct cultures into one, within this murder-mystery drama.
The pilot script has served as an entry to the Pacific Screenwriting program as well as other script competitions. The pitchdeck is studio ready, and contains a pilot script, episode 2 as well as season outline.
